  • Oil Light

I have been tuning up my carbs in the garage and noticed that the oil light is on.
There is plenty of oil in the crankcase.
Where is the oil sender located and is there an oil temp sensor that lites whene the oil is hot?

I have an oil cooler on the bike.

The oil pressure sensor is in the center of the top of the case just under the carbs. The single wire runs under the starter.

Disconnect it and see if the light goes out. If it does then the sender is bad or you have low oil pressure. (low oil pressure isn't very common). If it stays on you have a short in the wire.

I found the sender but there is no wire going to it.
What color wire should be there so I can look for the missing wire?

The wire is red/black and runs from behind the fuse panel down under the starter motor and cover to the sender.
