good morning not sure if im posting this in the correct area, but i live in the pueblo Colorado area i have a 79 xs 1100 i was wondering if anyone could direct me to a mechanic in the area who would be willing to work on my bike i was riding it through Texas few years ago and it just quit running, i could start it it would run for about 5 mins then die well i had the bike shipped back to Colorado and started taking the carbs off and the vacuum system, well since then i have moved around and found a job that dosent really allow alot of time to work on the bike. i love my bike and would love to get it back up in running again so i figured i would ask here if anyone new someone or a place that would be willing to work on it. most motorcycle shops i have taken it to say they wont touch a bike that's over 10 years old

Sorry, I should have said "Frush 87", not MXhelp. Coffee hadn't kicked in yet.

I really sounds like the gas cap breather is at fault. This is an easy fix.
