    Does anyone know if an 80 XS850 seat grab bar will fit on my 81 XS1100?
    1979 XS1100SF with a Jardine 4 into 1, ZRX 1200 carbs, 82 XJ rear air shocks, ACCT
    SOLD - 1980 XS1100SG with a Mac 4 into 1, ZRX 1200 carbs, round 160 speedo, 82 XJ rear air shocks, ACCT

        Not to hi-jack your thread, but...Anyone have an idea on the cost of re-chroming ( probably send it out ) a grab bar on one of these seats? Mine is an F. Thanks.

          Depending on condition, probably somewhere between $150-$400... plating is horribly expensive anymore....

              I think there may be some reasonable chrome platers in Tennessee. I suggest you look there.

                Rattle can wrinkle black. I like the look but that's me !

                  Was hoping for under $100. Dang. Seems like back in the day $25 would do it.
                  I know here in N. MI it is pretty uncommon to have it done.

                      Go shopping! The old car/hotrod hobby is huge. Look at all the Harley-Davidsons out there! Atlanta has no less than a dozen businesses doing chrome plating.
