  • best way to remove the black off clutch lever?

What's the best way to remove the black off clutch lever? Need to replace my clutch and the OEM replacement has about 75% of the black left on it. My brake lever has no black so I want them to match.

I have a steel wire wheel but I don't want to have rust issues.

    Can I soak in acetone?

    Thanks!

Your speaking of the lever right, no rust issues with aluminum.
Aircraft paint remover or whatever takes it off.
Or Mike's XS for new levers of your choice, cheap !
Take a look at the pivot hole in your clutch lever they go out of round. New ones might be just the ticket for you, it would for me.
I used to buy the chrome plated ones from him but have not seen any sets, clutch and brake in chrome on his site for years ?
Used to be almost all the bikes I fixed up had these, for $9.00 each and the look, no brainer.

I just put a MikesXS on and it looks cheap. Plus it doesn't have the finger contours like the brake lever does. This is why I wanted to go stock. Found a few on ebay that seem to be in good condition.
