  • Finally Finished!

Well at least finished for now. Took it out for its first trip and put about 25 miles on. Sidecar needs just a little bit of adjusting.

Thanks to all who answered a few questions I had over the past few months. Let's hope I can be answering a few instead of asking in the months to come.

If you would like to see a few more pics check out my album.

      Wow

You obviously had way to much time on your hands. Aside from that it's friggen beautiful. Does the side car have it's own brakes, I'd hate to see my 78 try to stop that thing. Did you get the front left caliper thing worked out?

        By the way

Your never finnished. Somethings bound to go a little wrong or it wouldn't be an XS. They go to fast to not have to do little tweaks once in a while.

No brakes on the sidecar. Some sidecars do, some don't. They do come in handy if you have one, it keeps the sidecar from trying to pass you. Actually the whole rig stops pretty good though. No complaints. Better than most since I have 3 discs. My other rig has the typical front disc and rear drum. I got the front figured out, all it took was a fork alignment. One thing I can say though is that this really gets up and goes. I had it doing 90 like nothing! Also lots of power for doing power slides around corners. Pull in the clutch, lock up the rear on a left hand turn to start the slide, keep the revs up and dump the clutch to get the tire spinning around the corner.

I wouldn't say I had too much time on my hands, I would just say that I spent it wisely. I do have a lot of time into it. I even painted the whole thing myself.
