It has been about 3 was since charging. Today's high was 55F. Threw the charger on the Rat for a few hrs and turned the key. Nice bright idiot lights so I hit the starter and everything went dead. I exercised the turning of the key and still Nothing. I took out the Honda 1300st instead. Any clues?

Sorry, I reread your post and realised you have no lights whatsoever. Like rdmcguy said, probably a blown main. If not, maybe a loose connection at the battery81 xs1100 SH
