  • ID my exhaust?

I bought this bike in 2003. It had this exhaust on it and it seems to work fine. Can anyone here identify it?

    ID Exhaust

Marty, this looks like a Kerker exhaust - flanges at head, pipes, and collector are exactly like the Kerker exhaust on the Limie Accent. The muffler is different, but all else is the same.

I will get a picture and post it for comparison.

      Hi Mike & Marty,
The end of the muffler looks exactly like a MAC but the area where the 4 join together does not look like the Mac. And so the mystery continues.

Marty the headers look to be Jardine...not sure about the rest of it
Mike...Limie Accent has the same Jardine headers with an oval can...thats how Bob Jones sold them and used them....I know cause i bought the last one Karla had...

I should add that my exhaust works well with the centerstand and it does not obstruct oil filter changes. The flanges are different than the MAC that I have.

Looks good Marty...heres the Jardine with the infamous muffler that fell off at XSEast in '09 BTW that really does look like a kerker muffler...I have seen them stamped Kerker on the frame mount bracket...also look at the rear tip of the muffler is there nothing stamped there?

Perhaps Jardine is what it is.

I saw this in another thread by GENE. He claims his is Jardine.

Mine is tucked in a lot closer than it is on Limey Accent.

Ben, you are absolutely correct - Jardine is the type of exhaust on LA. Looks like Marty's is too. Not sure of the muffler, but from the cylinder head to the muffler appears to be all Jardine.

                    I stand corrected.

                      Hey Marty,

Denny Zander posted this tech tip in 1999, or at least that's when he did it. It was in the UPPER XS11 info tech tips, not the lower FORUM tips!

The headers should look familiar, he even had the receipt from JARDINE!

                          Pipes

The muffler looks like my MAC. The headers are different.
I also have a Kerker and the muffler is different to yours. Also says Kerker at the very aft end.

Looks a bit like the Yoshimura exhaust I had quite a while ago. You may find more clues at http://xs1100.com/forum/index.php?topic=5436.0
