  • Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus

I found this one about 25 miles from me and it was too good to pass up.

    [IMG][/IMG]

All loaded up waiting to be strapped down.

    [IMG][/IMG]

Guy bought it in August without riding it, brought it home and putted around his yard. Then he took it to a dealer to look it over and was told " 2nd gear makes a terrible racket!" They told him it would be $1400 to pull the motor, split the cases, and replace the gears. He wanted no part of that and told me he is no mechanic and doesn't want to work on it. Sold it to me for $300!
After I unloaded it, I put a little gas in it and it fired right up but only on 2 & 3. Pulled the fouled plugs from 1 & 4, hit them quick with the sand blaster and then she lit right up and purrs on all 4. Probably going to fix 2nd gear and make sure it's sound mechanically, then sell it in the spring.

$300???? Nice! Don't even bother fixing if you plan to sell. You can get way more than that parting it out. Remember,...these bikes don't demand very good prices.

Good score Billy! Oughta make for a fairly simple winter projet to correct the minor issues.
