trying to find drag bars

The only 7/8" 32"W I can find are from China or Hong Kong on Ebay. However they are made of iron. Should I be concerned with iron bars?

All other 32"W bars are either 1" or over $100.

Hang tight,....I'm asking the Asian ebay sellers to confirm what material they're made of. Says steel in title but iron in description. For the price, I'm willing to wait for the shipping.

Do they have to be 32"? Is 27.5" too narrow? There are a lot of reputable sellers in the US with mild steel 7/8" drag bars. Dime City lists 5. I'm sure Mike's XS, SpeedMotoCo, and many others can help you.

I have a 28" bar and the grip and master cylinder don't fit. So that's why I need the 32".

I read through the thread before and thought "no, keep ya gob shut Tommy" but now Steve's said it, yep, make your own.

I use whatever bars I have and weld on extensions, my XS11005K7 bars are 8" wider than original, 4" welded on each end making them about 32" wide. I find old mountain bicycles have 7/8" bars of comparable wall thickness as donors for tube.

I don;t have welding tools nor do I know how to weld. I'm buying the Hong Kong "specials" and see what actually shows up. Wish me luck......
