  • what's the smallest shock I can run

What's the smallest shock I can use (height wise) and not mess up the driveshaft? I decided against going full rigid because the roads in pa are atrocious and its rough riding even with spring ride. But I like the way the bike looks a lot better lowered. The fender is going to be swingarm mounted so that's not an issue.

11" is about the shortest I would try. Much less, and you will chew up the U-joint in a hurry, and probably have some vibrations as well.

I'll agree.... And keep in mind that the shorter the shock, the harder it will ride.

            rover,
We don't know what it was like when he got it, and if he gets it running again, it's all good in my book.

Excuse me, I didn't notice the vast improvement that was made.

I know, not much now, but I DON'T KNOW what it looked like when he got it. I always try to give the owners a chance....
