starting switch wiring question

    I'm running a 2005 gsxr start/stop switch. I actually wired it to bypass the start stop switch and I'm still not getting any different results. How far should the nub on the crank be from the P/U coils?

    On a slightly related note, do FJ1100/FJ1200's have similar cranks with the XS's? More particularly the crank end that the timing plate attaches to. I was browsing around and found this:

    Any possible way this could work? I'm not looking for amazing fuel economy or anything like that. I honestly just want this thing to run.

      The Pickup Coil gap is 0.7mm.

        Is 0.044 VAC an acceptable reading while cranking?
