  • Fuse Box Modification

I made the upgrade to my fuse box while I'm waiting for a new ignition, a seat, and tires to be mounted. I have a question about the ground wire and the red wire with the yellow tracer. They were not connected when I got this bike. Any idea where they go?

Both of those wires will be unused if the bike has been fitted with 3 ohm coils and the ballast resistor is bypassed. The red/yellow should go to the TCI box, and in 'normal' operation those two would be connected.

I bypassed the ballast resistor since I installed the Accel coils.

I was just looking at the schematic. Are you sure it doesn't go to the turn signal? Turn signals are gone from the massive bags they had on this bike. I'm not spending the money to replace them.

          Hey Gene,

Your turn signals wires are the larger fatter ones that you have connected to the 20 A slot.

BTW, good job on posting the photos, but if you'll hit the enter key/return after you paste each photo's URL/IMG tags, it will then stack them one on top of the other....without the "carriage return/Enter" next line, it puts all of the photos side by side which causes severe sidescrolling.

Note that the green wire is connected to the starter cable; this only has power on it when the starter is energized. This is the origin of the 'bypass' power when the ballast resistor is used. No ballast resistor, not needed....
