    has anyone converted their xs1100 to forward controls?

    Hi I have a 79 xs1100 special that I'm rat-bobbing. Question for the builders: has anyone converted their bike to forward controls? I didn't really see any when I started researching this. Is it because the case is too wide? Or because its just not possible? I'd really like to try to set it up for FC's. I think it would really make this build pop. Has anyone done this successfully? If so Pictures would be great! Thanks

    They do make forward controls for these bikes. "TC Brothers" comes to mind.

        We've built at least 5 sets of forward controls for projects over the past year. 1 Harley shovel. 74 cb550, 81 cb650, Harley sportster, and I'm finishing up a set on a hardtail hondamatic chop this week. It can be done, just need to set your budget and the rest is lemon squeezy.

          I'm trying to do a true rat bike where I use little to no aftermarket parts. Fab from existing or use other scrap bike parts haha. I just didn't see any that were done and thought that the case is just too wide for it to be comfortable. I have ideas I just wanted to know if it was worth investing the time to fab something before I spend the time doing it. Now that I know it has been done I think I'm gonna try it. Don't worry guys I'll post pics. Right now there isn't much to see as its just a bare frame in planning phases. This site has been great though. Lots of good ideas and helpful info!
