    Mr Dragonrider?????

    Hi Dragonrider,
I read your post re: by-passing the headlight relay.
I just want to get it straight... My brain goes into spasm when I encounter things like relays and sealed boxes.....

    You wrote:
"Bypass the relay, connect the power wire to the load wire." at the end of the post.
Does this mean "ONLY jumper these two and then I throw away the relay? I already got rid of the RLU and a couple other "thingies' LOL (yes I identified them before pulling them) LOL

I also would like info ... to acquire your books!

    Thanks much
    - Larry

Well it is okay... I figured it out. !!

I took the headlight relay apart and found corroded contact points (lots of scale on the points) and an airgap that looked TOO large to me.
I cleaned the points , re-gapped the points to .030"
    The relay works again....

But I think I will install a switch... hahahahaha

    Ride safe, Larry
