    spark plugs

    Hi all
Once again I need your advice. I of course am getting my parts from ebay and typed in Yamaha xs1100 spark plugs.

Well they came in today NGK BP6E S
I took the ones I had in NGK BP8E S

The one I took out was pretty black

can I use these? hotter or colder?

The 6's (correct ones) are hotter than the 8's. NGK's numbering system is backwards, lower number is hotter, higher # is colder.
