Well, you started in the right place. There's also Andreas and eBay.

We can't unbreak the carburetors, but perhaps this will help later or help someone else.

"Goal post" is broken on carb No. 4 I think.

That broken post is #1 carb.

I figured he only screwed up two of the four and at this price he should be able to salvage one good bank of carbs from what is left of his and these. The price seemed right. He would end up with some spare parts as well. During my search I found another set that is listed as 81 models but the drain plugs on the bowls were screw in type so I believe those were 80 models as well but the price was a bit more. Here is the listing for those http://www.ebay.com/itm/1981-81-Yama...f1419c&vxp=mtr. The pictures are not as good though so it is hard to see if there are any broken posts etc.....

Are these XS1100 carbs and would they be good to 'experiment' on for cleaning/rebuilding for a '79 Special?

                      carbs

Well they aren't like any XS 11 carbs ive ever seen. Could be XJ's of some year but the bowls and vacum port, and linkage all look different. Not too sure if the spacing would match, someone will recognize these and tell you what they're from.

Those are not XS11 carbs, I have a set like those I bought by mistake for $40, the spacing is wrong. They are 80's Mikuni for a Suzi GS motor they use in small race cars. I actually respaced them correctly for an XS11 and ran them, but they were jetted way too lean for our motors.
