The Slip Streamer Spitfire S-06 is going to be the cheapest and is very popular. I had one, but lost it to a rock on I-59. I sure glad it was there to take the hit.

Phat Performance comes up as the best price in the quick search.

Thanks Marty. I read through old threads a few weeks ago and saw this come-up numerous times. Good to see it still recommended.

There are certainly better screens out there. You specified low buck. In that realm, Spitfire wins.

The Spitfire is a nice shield however I doubt it will go around the Square light of a standard.

The Spitfire fits the square headlight.

                  Hey Marty,

                  Why "ST"andard of course!

But why not the 78 or the 81 I don't know??

This larger image shows that the lowers clamp around the fork headlight ear tubes.

A review of the headlight ear tubes/supports shows enough room on the bottom for either model/style, so it should be able to fit. If anything, you may need to rig up a different size/type of clamp for the lowers???

But Ian, you said you were looking at doing this on the cheap.?
~$200 doesn't sound too cheap to me!

$200 opens the door to a lot of screens.

Yes, I figured ST was for Standard.

And, eBay is your friend when looking for the shield. Cheapest I found the SS-28 is for $140. Also, a fellow member had one on his father's standard, and it looked great!

Got the Slipstreamer Hellfire s24, and like it a lot. Got it used on ebay for ( I think ) $55. It's a goodie. I have a standard, and it fits the square headlight real well.

ehh, that has a Harley look to it. I grabbed a Spitfire used off eBay for cheap, will have it by the weekend. Bought a heated vest off ebay and mirror risers as-well. Will post review threads after riding with all three.
