Hey fellow members, I've got a question on seat fitment for my 80 xs11 special. I have the double decker with the back rest on the bike. My old lady loves it but I would like another without the backrest when riding solo. I bought a seat for cheap money on ebay from an 81 xs11 but it didnt fit. The pan didnt fit over the electrical box mounted over the rear fender and the rear grab bar got in the way too. Is there a low profile seat avaliable for the specials?

Can you post a photo of the seat you have and the bike with it removed? Make sure you photo the bottom of the seat._________________________________________

If you have an '80 XS11 Special (XS1100SG) and the current seat fits on an unmodified bike, the seat from an '81 Special (XS1100SH) is going to mount right up with no modification required. Perhaps the seat you have is for an '81 standard (XS1100H)?Marty (in Mississippi)
