Problem with plastic replacement floats 80SG

A reply 2 years later. I wonder what the record is for that?

Anyway, I bought 4 floats from Mikes XS but I can't get the fuel level adjusted in the bowl. Static height is ok but the bowls flood when running. I have to bend the tabs to about a 35 deg angle to get the fuel level set right, much more angle than on the stock floats. Don't know what it is, but those replacement floats aren't the same as the stocks.

Anyone else experience this?

hey, I was wondering the same thing, becauase I have an set of carbs from the venturer model and when I cleaned them up, I noticed the plastic floats and was wondering if these would go in my carbs from the "79 model. They are a much better design. Anyways,having them apart, I was curious if these things can ACCIDENTALY be installed up-side-down? Anyone want to expound?
