  • Need help finding, where's my Google Guru's??

Apparently ALL of the aftermarket bullet style signal lights on ebay do NOT fit the xs11.....ugh! Even when they show as they do fit. The bolt is too short (for front and back). It's been 2 days or trying to modify a fix. They all seem to have a 10mm x 1.5 mm thread. I've scoured the net looking for threaded hollow 10mm x 1.5. All I've found is 10x1.25. I can probably use this but they I need to rethread the female end inside the light housing.

Can any of you find me a US link for hollow threaded 10x1.5?? I don;t have a drill press and rather not pay a machine shop God knows how much.

$100,000,000,000 will be wired to your Caymen Island account if you can find this....

    Turn signal mods.

The ones bought had the same problem.
Luckily they had a little screw so I could remove the shaft ,
I went to Home Depot and bought some threaded shaft originally designed
for table lamps they also sell double female couplers to extend the length as needed...hope this helps

I was thinking about the double female couple route. Trying to avoid cutting the head off a bolt as I'm limited with mechanical tools. Have TONS of carpentry tools tho! if all else fails I will try that.

        $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

If the coupler is short enough you can just add hollow threaded rod into that.
So the order would be ...existing shaft....coupler....hollow threaded rod..
        flat washer...lock washer...nut...
I will be expecting receipt of deposit of my 100 k..

          Hey Hammer,

This isn't hollow, and I know you have limite metal working tools, a drill press and drill vice would be helpful with this item.

10mm x 1.5 plain weak steel threaded rod on McMasterCarr

Being weak steel it shouldn't be too hard to DRILL thru it lengthwise to make it into HOLLOW threaded rod. This link is 60mm long, but they have shorter. You could get doublenuts to lock it into position to fit into a vice without damaging the threads while drilling thru it. I would be a bit more challenging to drill thru it with a handheld drill, but possible, and being "weak" steel should be fairly easy to drill thru vs. harder types of steel rod. JAT!
