      Update

Okay, so this is what he looked like at the start:

      The TCI is correct:

      The plugs....

I pull the carbs off and lookie there, 3 of the 4 slides were stuck down. It took a good amount of force with my finger to free them up.
So I did a full clean and even polished the slide holes up a little with my dremel. I checked the float heights with my calipers and buttoned them all up.

I wanted to see what the advance was doing and it hardly rotated at ALL. my G/SG advance rotated about 15 degrees, but this one only rotated about 3-5degrees. ????
So, that's where I'm at tonight.

Stuck slides would definetly make a lean conditions. Judging from your plugs you might not have done any damage though as I dont see any aluminum flake on the porcelain. You might want to do a quick compression check for reference though.

The bearing on the outer edge of the breaker plate may be rusted and sticking, I've run into that a lot. It's not sealed very well and moisture can get in there but the good news is so can lube.

I've both sprayed lube in there while on the bike and I've taken them off and soaked it in a coffee can. First with penetrating oil or evaporust, then in oil. I just used transmission fluid.

            he's still alive!

Finished putting him back together today.
            Carbs back in and sync'd.
Replace the vacuum plunger assy on the advance.
Cleaned master cylinder and both front calipers.
Swapped in a good tank sending unit so my gas gauge is correct now.
Then went for a test drive.
Wow. Screams once past 4k rpm.
Seemed okay at lower rpm, no hiccups or stumbles.
Tomorrow I'll get him on the slab and see what he's like at 65mph and try to accelerate.
            I'm running 110 mains and 42.5 pilots.
With stock exhaust and a K&N i should probably have 120s in there.
I'll check the plugs and mileage at the end of the week and see.
