I have been thinking about altering my baffles for a little more sound. They are factory original stock, in good condition, does anyone have any ideas/problems that would help/hurt. Thanks, 'Dog

Some would kill for those... so, get another set and play with them. I could bet that you could get lotsa dough for an original exhaust system in good condition.
OK, I know I wouldn't give more than 400$ for a good one... but there are crazier ppl out there.
LPIf it doesn't have an engine, it's not a sport, it's only a game.

Go to a Harley shop and tell them you're scrounging an old sportser together and ask if they have any take off mufflers for cheap. Odds are you'll get a pair for next to nothing.

When I bought my bike the mufflers had been drilled and they were pretty loud. I thought they sounded pretty good, but they were just too loud for me. They each had eight 3/8" holes drilled in the end. I don't know how deep the holes were. I welded the holes up and they are now quiet but sound throaty, if that's possible.Bill Murrin
