    neutral between 3rd and 4th ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ok, I was riding and I shifted from 3rd to 4th, but I had no power, it was like I'd gone into neutral. I went back to 3rd and then went back to 4th. What gives? PLEASE don't tell me I have to split the case.

It is a false neutral, give a firmer shift between those gears and you shouldn't have a problem.

Are there any technical articles you can recommend that explain why a false neutral happens?

It's pretty easy to get between third and fourth. Shift with authority.

With tranny shifted into SECOND gear, and on center stand(so oil doesn't run out), check alignment marks of shift pawl .
