Service Manual for '80 MNS

Can anyone tell me if they make a service manual for the 1980 LG MNS or if it is basically the same as a manual for the '80 SG? Are the wiring diagrams the same? I bought a manual off Ebay that was supposed to be for the LG but it appears I didn't get exactly what I was looking for.

When I first bought my bike I asked that very question and the answer was no. I ended up with a manual with addendums that covered all the bikes and the addendums specifically addressed the specific differences by model. Yamaha DID make the LG manual, as I have one. It covers all the bikes from '78 through '80, but is centered on the LG. The mechanical parts between the SG and the LG are the same, it's just some of the cosmetics that are different.

would love to see a picture of the front of that manual. Wouldn't happen to have one would you?

I'll scan it in later this weekend. The cover is black, not the normal red or yellow of Yamaha.
I'm going to the Boardwalk free concert tonight, Gregg Roli of Santana and Journey fame is playing. Aptos is very close to Santa Cruz at times, and it does have benefits.

The reason I am asking is because my manual is just like you described... black with the supplements concerning the LG. If yours is different then it gives me something else to look for to add to my collection.

Would love to be able to go to that concert..
