Goes anyone know if the side covers and fuel tank for a 79 or 80 xs1100 special will fit on an 82 xj1100?

I don't think the tank will fit without modification. Take a drive to the local body shop and try to get one of the painters to paint it for some pocket cash. I got my tank 2 side covers and factory sport fairing painted for $140.00 parts & labor.Bill Woods

Those on ebay are NOT painted. they are in primer,the guy said the painted ones were ones he already sold was just using them for referance,But would paint for additional money1982 XJ 1100
