  • Fairing ???

I have a chance to pick up an '81 Venturer fairing...it will need some things to make it complete...so I am looking for a pigtail harness ...I think I can find new windscreens on ebay.... Will need a mounting bracket too...

Now the big question... Is there any differences between the Venturer bracket and one from a regular Windjammer?

A windjammer mount should work. The Venture fairing IS a windjammer. The pigtail you can make yourself with Radio Shack parts.

I think I can dig into the fairing pile and come up with a windscreen and pigtail Ben. PM me your address.

Ben, the Venturer bracket and the Vetter brackets will both mount the same but the Venturer bracket has an extra plate on it for mounting horns and oil cooler too.

I have one at home but I need it. I can send you a pic when I get home so you know what to look for.

Thanks Greg...Randy did add the external oil cooler so I am wondering how that was gonna mount on there...maybe a good time to upgrade to a real loud air horn too

Here's a fairing bracket from a Venturer. The hard part of using it is all the wiring that runs up to the back of the headlight has to be pulled down and rerouted through that triangle shaped hole. The good thing is you have a place to mount horns, oil cooler, and it's much more stable.

You will need it - I cannot find a pigtail - found a nice screen though!
I have both types of bracket - venturer and not venturer. What's your preference? Venturer one has horns on it.
