  • fuel line splitter

    i just purchased a 79 special and it pretty much complete...i am thinking i need to pull the carbs and clean them and noticed that the splitter is missing...is this needed and if so does it have to come from a 79 special...(not sure what it does) if i do need it does anyone here have one or know where i can get one...thanks

    If you are talking about the "T" fittings on the carbs, yes, you need them. The bottom two are for the fuel, and the top two are for vent on the '78 and '79,s. The later carbs, '80 and up, do NOT have the vent "T" as they vent through the bell on the intake side of the carb.
    A photo would help, as some of us do better with a picture....

      If you are in fact talking about the two splitters in the fuel line for the prime circuit, I expect your local hardware store will have them.
