I have a 79 xs 1100, recently I've noticed it's running hotter on right cylinders. Used a temp gun and found that after a ten mile ride it gets up into the mid 200's where left side was only up to low 200's. Anyone have any idea's on why it would do that?

Pull your plugs and see how they look. Obviously as you know, the hotter pipes are running leaner than the cooler pipes.1979 XS1100F

Make sure both sides of the bike's pipes are in the same condition, ie not aiming at a tarnished one or a rusty one then comparing to clean chrome as I notice a difference as well if I do that.1979 XS1100 w/Factory Fairing <Need left cover>

As also mentioned, look at the spark plugs and see if there are any differences between them - color wise or if one or more is wet.
Are you having a particular running issue?
