Can anyone tell me if this is a 79 special seat? Ernie found this for me and if it is a 79 sf, I think I will try to get it if he ships and get it recovered. Thanks.

It looks to me like a 8o/81 seat. To me, it looks like it's open in the back for the taillight, making it a later seat.Marty (in Mississippi)

He wants a LOT for a seat in that condition! I also agree, it MAY be from the later model. The '79 is a one year seat for the SF, same as the side covers. Let me check my storage and I'll get back if I have a '79. It WILL need a cover, but you can get a NICE one from a company in Hurst, TX. Oh, and it will NOT be $130 needing to be repaired!Ray Matteis
