  • XS Parts Cross Refference ?

Is there a comprehensive list anywhere that identifies inter-changeable parts on the XS series bikes ? I am interested in the front master cylinder and the calipers specifically. Its getting tedious going through all of the OEM parts schematics for all the XS models

I'll add that there isn't a lot of exact interchange on brake parts. The 'standard' calipers were the same for all years of the XS11 and shared with some 650, 750, and 850 models. Same goes for the front master, although there's several variations. Front masters are getting hard to find, if yours is damaged beyond repair your best bet is run a post in the 'parts wanted' forum. Rebuild kits and new caliper pistons are still available. HVC cycle has new stainless steel caliper pistons, and the master kits and caliper seals are available from multiple sources. 'Georgefix' on eBay is a good source, but not the only one..

Thanks much, I figured that it would be kind of a loaded question. Appreciate the leads.

My 79F MC is actually just yellowed a bit but other than that is in good shape. I might just try some cleaning up on it for now. I do have a brand new NOS 81SF MC Reservoir (3J6-25850-00) but realized that the MC sits at more of an angle than the stock standard version and it probably will not work. Just more parts to ebay now

This is a great board for the restoration project and thanks for all the help. I am about %90 done now and just working on the front end and finally carbs.
