    Mixing and matching parts from different carbs works, but we're you certain that the parts were all the same? Those little needles on the slides changed throughout the years on the XS. The slides themselves even changed.

          And yes I understood what he meant
          And the carbs and parts came from a parts bike I acquired that is the same model and year.
          79F with two parts bikes (78E and a 79F). Ran it for the first season all the way through the summer. more work to do this Spring!
