  • Some parts needed

    XSers,
Hope you don't mind my posting here ! Did not get much response from parts wanted.
My gas cap must have been replaced I have 2 keys one to work all the other locks and ign. one to open gas cap. I would like to use only one key, I can send my spare ign. key to see if it will fit. I can remove the tumblers if the key fits (I don't expect it to turn, just slide into the lock) but in the gas cap lock I have the key is opposite of the ign.
The 4 way flasher relay has been replaced with auto type, anyone have an extra OEM ?
Would like passenger foot rest/pegs for and SH.
    Anyone ? Please PM me.
    Thank You ! Don

XS's used two keys. Opposite each other.

Send a close up of your key like this so I can see which one you have. I have several special caps without keys.

Gas cap Key is on the left (my problem lock) and my ignition key on the right (the one I want them to match).

          Nate,
Key on the left fits all locks but gas cap.
Looks like we could make a deal, yours is worth a million and so is mine, even trade ?
Could just file the tumblers ?
          Thanks ! Done

Or take the lock to a locksmith and have it keyed to your ignition key.

Ehhh.......that doesn't cost much. I took in 2 locks from my hous and had them rekeyed because someone had a key I didn't want in my house.

IIRC it was like $20 for both.

That's how it is on my SF ... one key fits all the locks.

                            One key fits all locks

Nate and I now have one key that fits all the locks. We switched locks and luckily both of our ign. keys went right into the locks.
I ground the tumblers to match with a dremel on the tank lock Nate sent to me and that worked. Nate went to a locksmith and got the lock matched with his key and 2 extra keys for under $20. I went and had 1 key made for under $5, to have a spare, I would have had to buy 2 (1 for ign. and 1 for the gas cap) if this did not work out.

                            THANKS Nate !!!!!
