  • Once again, I do something nice to my bike...something else goes wrong

I took apart most of my bike again a couple days ago to fix some wiring....intermittent issues once again.

Thats done...So I installed the Vetter fairing again.

    Been fine allllllllll week.

As I almost get to work a hear puff puff tap tap.

no4 exhaust gasket just decided to let go....or loosen or something.

I'm at work right now, so I cant see why...I just hope something loosened up. The gaskets are new...

I'm so frustrated....I havent been driving my jeep because after I did the brakes....and fixed my defroster....as I pulled it outta my shop at work...it started to misfire at low RPM...

I can never have a normal month

The heat cycles may require retightening of the nuts. Maybe the head pipes were not fully seated when you torqued the bolts but bound a little allowing the nuts to provide resistance. That reminds me- I painted my head pipes a month ago and need to check mine since Ive been riding now.

        In the same boat

Have been working on my bike for the last year. Electrical, drive shaft, U-joint, rear wheel bearings, and the list goes on. Now have the rear brake sticking issue. I am continuing to deal with this issue. Some day I might get to go riding

I enjoy doing restorative things- upgrading and PM. I HATE BREAKDOWNS AND OUT OF NO WHERE PROBLEMS. I just removed all the hyd brake components from my 1100- cleaned (there was like mud in there and they still worked fine) sandblasted exterior bodies and painted. get it all together and my MC for the front weeps just a little. Makes me mad because brake fluid is not kind to paint and the wind blows droplets hear and there. I cut a strip of oil absorbant pad and wrapped the reservoir with it and used black duct tape wound around it. Will get me by. I found a 16mm piston new MC on ebay for $53 out of California. Ill order it in a few weeks.

Well lucky for me... The header was just loose... Number four was floppy it was so loose... It must have just popped out today.

But I tightened up all the others as well. I would have blown a gasket if I somehow blew a gasket.

Sounds like success..................remember, it comes in 'threes'.
