I miss spoke on that to. What I should have said was the the atomization for the idle and pilot circuits happen in the manifold behind and under the idle jet tower.
I believe the main tower is a different animal unto itself and it lives or dies at the 1/4 to 1/2 butterfly opening (crusing) and really kicks in if the motor is under load and the pressure drop induced is rapid and prolonged. Like passing or 1/4 mile passes.
