  • Paint Help

I have just had some paint work done on two 1980G bikes. The shop that I used was able to match one paint with the model and year of the bike. The other color had to be photographed and mixed by that magic method. The end result is that both colors matched perfectly. Pictures of the matched paint will follow when I am done assembling the bikes.

Did not paint the complete bike(s), only certain parts - saddle bag lids (3), and one trunk. OEM decals for the saddle bags are available at KZ900.com

I have attached the formulas for both colors so that anyone needing them can mix or have them mixed at any paint source.

The two 1980G factory colors are Diamond Silver and New Ruby Red. (The references to Toyota and VW on the labels means absolutely nothing to us)

Is the first color the metallic gray or the metallic silver part of the two-tone paint on the '80G?
