  • Does anyone have an angle finder guage handy?

Howdy again. I currently have the wheels and center stand off my bike (its sitting on blocks). I just drained the oil and removed the filter so I can remove and polish all my engine side covers.

I'd like to refill the oil, but since it isn't sitting on the center stand, I won't be able to get an accurate fill level reading on the sight window. I have read here that the capacity is somewhere between 3-4 quarts.

Does anyone have an angle guage and an xs11 handy? I was thinking I could use a jack to get the bike to the right angle (measuring from the bottom of the frame rail, perhaps).

Also, should the oil level be in the middle of the sight guage?

    Thanks

Should take 3 3/4 quarts with the filter change, that should bring it to the center of the sight glass. You can top it off later to bring it to the upper level mark in the window when the bike is level. You did also drain the oil from the plug in the left front of the sump pan, correct?
