  • 79' xs11 quick restore whatcha think...

So i had a client at my work that noticed some xs11 emblems hung up on my shop wall, He told me that he had an 11 special and we got to chatting... After about 15 min of talking about my other xs11 restores he decided that he wanted me to have to bike since he didnt ride it anymore, as long as i would restore it. Well here is the progress! its been 10 days.

Interesting black theme u have going there. I used PJ1 Gloss Black on one of my 750 engines. Looked damn good!

Wow! You have done a ton of work in just 10 days. What an improvement. You sure put me to shame. Good work on restoring those headers.

Absolutely love it! Its going to look amazing when completed. Just enough updating to make it current, but the black keeps it retro cool. Like the change in the seat too. Was at the bike show in Calgary back in January and noticed a lot of the nicest bikes weren't full out custom pieces, but clean updates on classics. When you can make an older bike look that nice with paint and a few new parts, there really isn't any reason to buy new. The proof will be when you park it amid a ton of new and farkeled up bikes at your local meet and have the majority of onlookers gravitate to yours. Best feeling in the world to have total strangers want to know more about something you've put your time and heart into...except maybe riding it of course.

By the way, where can I find a jack like that?
