    looking at the label on the steering head of my '79 Std it has a production date of 6/78 last 4 digits say 5763...is this the production #?
    1980 XS650G Special-Two
    1993 Honda ST1100

    Yes, I believe it indicates what number your bike was in the production line.

        Nope didn't work however there is enough info. in the sample VIN to see that the last 6 digits of the VIN are the production #s...so Thanks...it did answer my question... Thanks Greg
