anyone run across a source for the nebula gold that was originally on the wheels and rotors on the MNS's? Color rite maybe?

I have a can of paint from a paint shop, that is as close as they could come to it. If i can find it, i might be able to get a brand, and some kind of number.1980 XS1100LG Midnight

I doubt very much that's the same color; their listings for Yamaha colors only goes back to 1990. IIRC, somebody here contacted them about colors for older bikes and was told that they don't have the codes for those...Fast, Cheap, Reliable... Pick any two

Finaly found it, but no numbers. It was Nason paint, but matched to color sample only. I may be the only one that has any. Should spray some on some aluminum, and have it scaned. I would have to have a shop do that though.1980 XS1100LG Midnight

I took some paint samples from a local auto paint shop outside and matched them with the wheels on my bike. It's been a few years, but I do remember it was a DuPont paint. Match was spot on in the sunlight. HTHRay Matteis

If you can find the color tag on the bike somewhere, i may have a lead on code numbers. I looked on mine, and could not find the color code sticker. From my investigating the other day, Nebura gold was one of the choices on my list. The code they gave was 008L NG. Don't know what brand, as they said that the bike companies had their own coding for the paints. I had 21 different golds listed for Yamaha, but they didn't give years for the colors. Hopefully i will here from the company in Australia next week. Gives me something to do. Had a little get off the other day on my Honda. 3 cracked ribs, and other bruising.1980 XS1100LG Midnight
