    Loosening Engine Bolts Prior To Paint

    I went to my bolt supplier using Steve's list and bought S/S socket head cap screws. Question is, prior to painting the engine, should I loosen each old screw so the paint does not seal them in? Also, how many of these screws has oil coming out from behind the covers if I loosen them?

      Are you painting everything, including covers? If so, why not just paint the bolts, too!

          Haha Marty, you typed too quick. Yes, I'm painting the OLD screws. I meant, so that I do not disturb the surrounding paint of the screws, should I loosen them before I paint, so that after when the paint dries and I replace the screws with the S/S screws, it's no-fuss.
