Being that our foot rests are lower and more forward than the 2h9 and 5k7 bikes the shifter extends towad the front from the shift shaft and our shift covers don't have the pin to hang the Euro shifter linkage on.

Might take you up on your shipping offer. PM me if your interested.
Lost shifter level! Any creative ways to fix?

On a US model XS11, the shift cover looks like this...

Note it does not have an attachment point for the forward fulcrum on your shifting mechanism. This is why the Euro style shifter requires the Euro style shift cover. Also I believe the Euro style cover is black with only the fins silver. That would make it necessary to swap the clutch cover to match.Leave a comment:

good idea with the skulls thx
Not sure about what cover your talking about I never seen the regular type shifter lever type on a XS, I thought itd be less hassle and cheaper when it breaks?

Hey if anyone needs parts for here send em to my house and I will send em to you if you do the same for me vice=versa
Im big on ordering from the States cause I find your guys service better and way more stuff and also alot more affordable!!! Im always getting ripped off by shippers on Ebay so if someone helped me get parts affordable (cause USPS offers International Flatrate Shipping which alot of Ebay sellers wont do for me) when I need em it would really help

Ian, using Anarchy's link and scouring the XS11 parts, just about all the sellers won't ship to the USA.
I'd like to change my foot controls, on my SF, to the 5K7 style also.
Will need the shifter cover too, and the clutch adjustment cover to match.
Might have to make them out of whats available locally.Leave a comment:

Anarchy- There is no-doubt in my mind you're American, and I have not checked your profile yet, lol. And if you're from over there, you have our phrases down perfect! Also, do me a favor and don't break too many more Euro parts, I will be converting my bike's shifter, brake lever and footpefs to a Euro setup and need all the parts I can get from over there

You guys dont have the same kind of shifter lever in the States? Ya im in Germany in the hills and no auto parts or hardware stores around here either.
About the toe stub part do they sell anything cool on ebay that I can just screw back on where the old one came off? Like something made out of skulls for example? Im just missing that little piece.

Bushing, or metal sleeve, collar sleeve. Looks something like this...
Bushing
Go to your local hardware store and ask for one, the little local guy, not the big box store. They will have a great selection of similar items for you to choose from.
And yes, the part is not expensive, so replacing it is the best option. But, this is one way to make what you have work. And make the bolt SS for added strength.Leave a comment:

They are not that expensive. Mikes XS has one for $14.75 for a 650. The part # is in the listing so should be easy to cross reference for fit. I bought one a few years ago but cannot find where I actually bought it. But you should be able to find one rather easily.Leave a comment:
