Are the inner tubes on the forks, on all XS models and years interchangeable? If not why not?

Hmm. I know I've read on here the actual bottoms are swappable, but the internals are unknown to me as I have not done any fork work. If it was earlier, I'd do some forum searching for u, but this beautiful girlfriend next to me is getting crankyband wants me to put my phone away. Good night.

      Hi Terry,
All Standard fork tubes swap. All Special fork tubes swap.
Standard & Special fork tubes DON'T swap because the fork tubes got different innards and are of different lengths.
      Why? Effin' stylists, that's why!
Same clowns that put the peanut tank and Weird Harold front calipers on the Special "to make it look faster".
BTW, complete forks with the trees, calipers and all + fender WILL swap between Standards & Specials.
Swapping the fork legs and NOT the trees will alter the steering trail.
