So far, for just the diaphragms, I would say Ebay, you can get a set of four for around $100.Life is what happens while your planning everything else!

Hi George, I checked out the link you posted and He's a little more than you paid now, however JBM is still the same, as a year ago @ $84.80 shipped, for the 73 mm diaphragms for BS 34 carbs.

Looks like if you use this type of replacement, that they'll be the only ones you can use in the future as well since you'll be cutting off the plastic retainer ring that sandwiches other styles (As well as OEM) of diaphragms.Try your hardest to be the kind of person your dog thinks you are.

Diameters
If I remember correctly, the 78/79 carbs and the 80/81 carb diaphrams are a different size. The 80/81 are obviously 73mm. Anyone know what the 78/79 correct size is. I know I read it a few years ago on here someplace.mack

They were a bit fun trying to get on. They have a little lip on the inside hole that supposed to fit down into a groove between the two plastic retainers of the slide. I found that a little cooking spray helped slide them in and a good 360deg. twist between the slide and diaphram got them fully seated in there.Hi, my name is George & I'm a twisty addict!
