As I continue to try and resurrect this old bike it seems as though as I get one problem resolved another makes it self known. I now have what I suppose are wheel bearings going out in my rear wheel. I would like some suggestions on the replacement of the bearings and seals in so far as procedure. However, the real problem is locating replacement bearings and seals. If anyone knows of a source for these items, the information would be greatly appreciated.

There are two bearings in the rear wheel, one is a more or less standard type bearing and not to hard to find. The other is a longer needle style bearing and is fast becoming unobtainable.
The good news is that I believe list member James England still has a few available from a source he knows. So you can get one from him, or some of us have a few laying about.
As to how to get them out, well, this is your lucky day....

Z1 Enterprises has the three common bearings. They have the Chinese All Balls brand. The original is a more expensive Koyo brand. Google will turn those up quick. JamesEngland may still have the unobtainium bearing. You may clean that one up and find it still serviceable.
Z1 is probably the cheapest/quickest. If you're paying the shipping, you may as well get the steering head bearings too.Marty (in Mississippi)
