    Hey Unkle,

Partsnmore.com has all of those if you're looking for a 1 stop shopping place.

However, you can save $$ for the carb boots by getting them off of eBay.

        Hi Unkle Crusty,
Parts n More ship from Stratford Ontario so no border crossing fees for you to deal with. Use both year specific and general XS categories on PnM site to find all they offer.
Check out can be tricky as their security requires your address to match EXACTLY what the credit card company has.
Oil filter Washers and Exhaust Gaskets are good fillers to help with the pain of postage $
If you are not in a rush K&N filters YA1400 frequently pass by on the net at good prices. Watchout for the shipping charges though.

          Thank you guys.
Phil I have decided to stay with the stock filter because of all the rain out here.

            Hi Unkle Crusty,
The YA1400 is a direct replacement and fits into the airbox
so no different in the rain ??
I got a good deal on my K&N which is reuseable. Convenience and economy were what appealed to me.Some question if they give anymore horsepower.

The K&N in the standard airbox has been good for me too. If you go that route, make sure that any issues with carbs overflowing into the airbox are resolved because it causes shrinkage of the air filter. Pick up a spray can of air filter oil as well. Don't let mama catch you at the kitchen sink washing a dirty filter!

                Air filter

                Phil and Skids.
Lack of clarity on my part.
Should have said I want to keep the stock box for the filter on account of the rain. I have no problem with a K&N filter inside the box.
The two forward bolts with wing nuts are missing but I will fix that.
In the beginning one carb puddled if the fuel tap was not closed. That has corrected itself. Probably got sticky from lack of use by the previous owner.
But I still close the taps when not running.
At the moment Yami appears a bit lean on the bottom end, and a bit rich on the main jet. I am getting 35 mp imperial gallon, and Yami backfires. At the same time blipping the throttle gets a limp response.
Also: any suggestions on paint for the 4 to 1 exhaust pipes. The original chrome lasted about five minutes. However the motor runs much better with this set of pipes. Real sweet actually cruising down the highway, with good power. Previously it sounded like it wanted to blow up.

I guess I may have not read thru the entire thread but what do you mean by the original chrome lasted about 5 minutes? I have had chrome turn violent blue in a matter of moments and then brought them back with some polish. I have coated them with ceramic and other methods, but your wording puzzles me a bit.

The chrome pipes turned to rusty crappy looking pipes in a short period of time.
No chance of reclaiming the chrome. So I would like to paint them black or some suitable colour. POR15 stays on quite well and only suffers close to the engine.
A ceramic paint might be the answer.
Snowing a bit here and I need to go to Victoria.
