  • Excelsior and I have a love/hate relationship I swear!!!!!!!

    On my way home today it started to run rough, the idle lowered WAY down, and it ran even rougher.


    I got home and popped in the colortune to see what is going on.

    Number 4 is okay, got to number three and it started to backfire!!!?!?!??
    So I tried to get it to fire using the pilot screw adjustment, no change. Changed spark plugs, no change....

    WHAT NOW?!
    AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

    Why cant I have a normal month with this bike?!

    Have you checked the vacuum line on #3 intake?

      Swap the #2 & #3 plug wires. Does the issue move to #2?

        Vac line is hooked up.

        I will swap the wires when its not pouring down

              We all make some kind of mistakes in life. Just chalk it up to experience and it will serve you well for many years to come.

                Yeah.... I really don't know how I did it either.

                I sat there looking at the wires and realized one was longer than the other, that's when I noticed my wires were reversed.


                So now one more minor problem that's been haunting me since I got it...
