  • Sound clips of Emgo mufflers?

My 79 XS1100F runs flawlessly but Id like the sound to reflect the power output. NOT LOUD but louder. I live amongst retirees and I dont care for loud bikes anyway. I did the Harely mufflers thing-they were quiet and eventually broke due to the stress I put on them to position them.

I recall a sound clip on here of a members bike with Emgo Dunstalls. Sounded right. I cant find that clip with the search function and the clips on ebay are twin cylinder metric bikes and Triumphs. My bike revs up quick and the RPMs come down quick- but its too quiet. I have Jardine slip ons.

I believe XS11 member donebysunday has run these on his Special. (PM sent)

Are they louder than stock in the good way? How is the chrome? I see the Dunstalls at about $70 each.

I like the way the turnouts sound. Got them on the SG. You need a 2 1/4 pipe to attach them to though.

I think trbig has some emgo flair tip mufflers on his SH. They look stock but really bark when you get on it.

Yes, they are louder than stock. Black headers, chrome mufflers. I'm selling them for $150.

The emgo mufflers that I got were too small so double check the inlet size. They are much quieter than the turnouts.

Thanks Ian but I was hoping to get some brand new mufflers. I do like the sound.
