  • Newer Master Cylinder with original brake system

    This summer I built my first motorcycle, and the brake fluid in the front master cylinder had solidified from the bike sitting for 15+ years. I also wanted to put drag bars on my xs11, so I put a front master cylinder on it from a 2006 or 7 Kawasaki, don't exactly remember the model of bike, but i was able to use it with the original dual calipers and brake lines. All i had to make sure with the master cylinder was that it was it was a 11/16 brake cylinder.

    Just a thought but if the master cylinder was as bad as you say, the calipers and lines will be worse. I hope you disassembled and cleaned them or you will have a binding mess.
