    Samsonite luggage backrest

Does anyone have Samsonite luggage system that has an adjustable backrest? If some one out here has the backrest that can be adjusted forward for a single rider I could use a picture of the tubes that extends forward to let a solo rider use the rest.
Hope some of that makes sense. There is a knob on the tubes that locks the rest in place.

I know they are more and more scarce. I am afraid mine may have been the victim of some mischief. The two legged kind.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hi latexeses,
I have a sliding back rest section on my rack.

is this it ? the wing nut pushes the round (acorn looking) piece against the slide rail to hold it in place. (the acorn is on backwards in the pic.)

There are two tubes that fits into the tubes that your backrest is inserted into that extends out to let the driver use the rest. One end is the same diameter as the your backrest tube itself but bells out again to allow the sliding backrest to be extended forward. It is a separate tube that is about 9-10 inches long with a nylon bushing in the large end that the backrest slides into.

I have searched the internet trying to find a photo to no use.

I may have what you are asking for in both photos and parts. Will try to be home earlier tomorrow to see if I can find both.

Just wondering if these might be similar to what you are looking for.

No, not the same. I am going to have to draw a good picture to really explain what they looked like. I don't have cad any longer so it will be by hand. Hope it will make sense.

Ok was just taking a shot at it after our PM's told me what else I had was not going to work. Maybe a drawing will help describe what you are after and others will be able to help out. Good luck!
