That's a good deal. I have over twice that amount in my setup.
Definately would have gone with the Amazon setup instead of the work and time of adapting the HD backrest to my trunk.

Great ideas, thanks everyone. I do wonder how sturdy those cradle arms are, at that price will they collapse if/when body weight/pressure is forced upon them? And I would not mind paying more for a more secure box.
All good questions. A theme in the reviews is that you get what you pay for, so it might not be for you. Wish I could answer better, but I don't actually have the trunk myself.

I have that same trunk and backrest. It is better quality than I was expecting for the price. The arm are not extremely rigid as they have plenty of padding on them but aren't bad and don't fold back with side pressure on them.

Sorry to hijack, but are those also Ebay/Amazon saddle bags, Bigfoot? It looks like a nice combo and relatively cost effective way to get some gear on the bike.

I wish I was older and could ride a bagger. I saw a younger guy on a older Goldwing thevother day, and I thought it looked silly. So, with age comes the ability to ride in comfort. Most deserved, no-doubt.

Hi everyone, the following pics are of my '80G and the trunk and backrest.
Nubian PMed me with a request of what brand of trunk I have. There are no markings on it but it came off of an '80 XS11 with a Vetter fairing and hard bags. The wrap around backrest is HD modified by me to fit the trunk.
Does anyone recognize what brand of trunk this may be ?
